Summary: We report an unusual case of granulocytic sarcoma involving the temporal bone. The occurrence of this tumor usually heralds acute myelogenous leukemia or the onset of the blastic phase of chronic myelogenous leukemia. Recognition of this rare entity is important, because early aggressive chemotherapy can cause regression of the tumor, as in our case, and thus improve patient longevity.
